Spent approximately SGD $7 per day.

From its beginning on the 1st of January, the year 1981, at Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia, Marrybrown has since developed internationally, and has become one of the biggest halal accredited Malaysian fast food chains in the world that operates over 400 locations in 20 countries.

It was founded by the Dato and Nancy Liew, Dato Lawrence Liew as well as Datin Nancy Liew in 1981, their Marrybrown concept was founded on the idea of introducing Malaysian flavors in Western cuisines. Marrybrown initially opened in Singapore in 1990. The restaurant it was then shut down a few years later, only to re-enter the Singapore market in October of 2015.

The atmosphere of Marrybrown is casual and functional and a bit tacky, but I appreciate the effort. The bright and well-lit space is lined with large tables that are communal, and separate wooden booths with cushions, and the small space is decorated with faux plants as well as wooden chairs. The primary color design of white and red is quite loud and clashes with the décor. It's also extremely dark in certain areas because of the lack of lighting. Strangely, people don't like having straws made of plastic but serve plastic cups and a variety of plastic utensils It would be more environmentally sustainable if this were reversed.

The service at Marrybrown is casual and pleasant, to put it lightly. It is advertised as a fast-service fast food however, wait times in non-peak hours vary from 10 minutes between 30 and 60 minutes. Even delivery companies are waiting for a certain amount of time.

The problem isn't because they prepare in tiny batches, but they begin cooking only when the current batch is gone. A little planning ahead and preparation tasks could help cut down on wait time. Cleaning up can also be performed in a slow manner, however with how much waiting that customers are doing, it seems to be a good idea.

Restaurant food served At Marrybrown Food at Marrybrown Malaysian way of eating Western food, featuring a range of famous Malaysian dishes. The highlight in the restaurant is their Asian-spiced chicken fried that is delicious. all the other food on the menu serves as secondary bits. Marrybrown was among the first restaurants to offer the concept of fast food that is based on rice and noodles however, even though their tagline"It's "Something Different", I'm not certain of how often they are experimenting on new products. The portions are designed for people of all sizes and the prices are comparable to the majority of fast food restaurants.

Plan on spending around SGD $8 for a meal at this restaurant.
It's the Marrybrown Lucky Plate Set (SGD $7.95) comes with a selection between Soft Drink from the dispenser fountain. I went with to go with the Soft Drink A&W Cherry Vanilla that, frankly, has an artificial herbal flavor but is not the best. From the ingredients, I was dissatisfied by the dry Bun and the boring Mashed Potato with overly salty gravy that was brown. The original Coleslaw Hawaiian was nice, with its chewy texture and flavor of the pineapple chunks inside. The highlight is the two pieces of warm Fried Chicken, the chicken meat being juicy and tender and bursting with sweet flavor.

The crispy skin of the chicken was spiced and had an addictive spiced saltiness. I'll leave out the sides next time and opt for the chicken. Its Nasi Lemak Marrybrown (SGD $7.50) includes the same great Fried Chicken, accompanied by coconut milk infused fuffly white rice that has an exquisite grainy sweetness but less oily and fragrant than other places.

The crispy pieces of roasted peanuts as well as salted anchovies / Ikan Bilis were decent, and the achar and Peranakan spiced pickled cabbage (pickled the carrot, cucumber and pineapple, as well as cabbage) was pleasantly crunchy and smoky in texture with a sour, sharp and abrasive flavor. The lentil crackers are crisp and go perfectly with the sambal belacan which actually tastes pretty tasty, with a good spicy, fiery spice. Overall, it's an acceptable version of Nasi Lemak that is comparable to the majority of hawker stalls and I'd be happy to have this again. Good!

I tried I tried the Tower Burger Combo Set (SGD $8.95) with the option between Soft Drink from the dispenser fountain. I went with the Soft Drink Fanta Lychee that has an alcoholic sticky body that is fizzy and has an artificial fruity sweetness. The Fries were a bit bland and soft. They were a little bland. Tower Burger has factory produced buns for burgers, as well as mayonnaise seasoned lettuce.

Both were not very impressive. The two patties were quite good The first was a crispy battered chicken thigh that was moist and sweet and savoury. the other was a soft minced chicken patty which was soft and moist, with a great salty savoury taste. The two patties were both eaten as a single meal and it was pretty good

This Churros-Ondeh (SGD $4.50) is a the firm exterior and soft inside screwpine or pandan infused crispy dough sticks covered in a granular dessicated coconut. It is served with a thick sticky gula Melaka or palm sugar sauce for dipping. It has a slight crunch to its texture. The combination of earthy , sweet floral notes is a nice. I really enjoyed this product, and the quality is a bit higher than the pasar malam or night market bazaar variants. Ordering three sticks. It's worth it!
